My food successes!

My Journey So Far

-i've had hypoglycemia since i was a kid.

-diagnosed w/celiac disease in 2006 (after a long/painful game of roulette w/my doctors).

-been dairy free since 2008.

-also "diagnosed" w/IBS 2008 (touch of sarcasm, yes?).

-other foods i avoid like the plague: potatoes, beans, crucifers (broccoli, cabbage, etc), coconut milk, onions, caffeine/ carbonation, & excess sugar.

i like to think of myself as a healthy person. ok, so i only get to the gym once or twice a week...& since i don't keep much sugar in the house, i will occasionally sneak a handful of enjoy life chocolate chips that i hide in the freezer.but for the sake of my gut, i try & eat relatively healthy.

haven't had much luck w/*good* allergy-free processed foods. my philosophy is: make it myself, or do w/out.

i used to be on antidepressants, anti-anxiety meds, & birth control. since regulating my diet, i no longer felt the need for these. i got off everything (w/my drs help), got my thyroid regulated, & consequently lost 40 lbs!

i feel so much healthier & happier w/myself.
